Rubbish Collection

Changes to rubbish collection over Christmas and New Year period

2018-2019 Christmas tree collection - trees will only be collected between 28 January - 8 Feb 2019 and must be cut up so that they can fit in the council waste lorry and be free of decorations. Trees can be disposed of before this date by taking them to the local recycling centre.

Rest of the year - Rubbish and Recycling is collected on Thursday.
Garden waste is also collected on Thursday. ( Please note there is an extra annual fee for this service)

New Resident Visitor Parking Permits Trial

A 12 month trial for resident visitor permits in the Central Zone went live on 4th March. All residents in the Central Zone (whether current car permit holders or not) are eligible for 100 hours of visitor permits, using the B&NES online MiPermit system. The cost will be 10p/hour. Residents’ 10% Parking Discount

Residents can park at a 10% discount in Council run car parks and metered spaces. Register online via the MiPermit portal at www.wanttopark.com/bathnes, under “Residents’ Parking Saver” section.

New Police Station in Bath:

It was announced in March that space within Lewis House, Manvers Street will now be dedicated to a new expanded police station/ enquiry office. No timing has been confirmed but it is expected to open within the next few months.

To apply for a card, take some proof of address and visit either the Roman Baths, Fashion Museum in the Upper Assembly Rooms, Bennett Street, Bath One Stop Shop on Manvers Street or The Victoria Art Gallery.
